The Slate Series: SLATE 1: DEUS EX MACHINA BATTLES THREE NIHILISTS FOR NOTHING

This exhibition/work kicked off the "Slate Series", in which artists were invited to decorate the chalkboard at Salt of the Earth for a period of three weeks. The idea originated with Salt's General Manager, Melissa Horst. Armbrusted created what she called a "map" with gestural and schematic markings. The opening was held January 19 at 6 pm. A closing reception was held February 2, 6 pm. Armbruster also created a limited edition print based on the larger design, which was sold at the opening event and throughout the duration of the installation.
